Who's Next? - Features

Our development team has strived to make Who's Next? the best student/service management system
on the market. Below are just some of the features that we've added to our software.
01. Easy-to-Use

Who's Next? is extremely easy to install and use. Once your user name and password has been built into the system, you can log in and start saving student visits immediately.
We have found that within the first 5 minutes of installing our software onto a computer, counselors and advisors are already saving student visits!
02. Safe & Secure

We have taken every precautionary measure to ensure your data is safe and secure. All of the data is stored in a server that is located at your campus and is administered by your IT personnel.
Our software uses a robust Microsoft product called SQL Server to house all your data. Unlike other products that use Microsoft Access, this database management system allows a large number of users to access the system simultaneously. The database is also capable of storing billions of records of data into a single database without affecting performance.
We have also developed sophisticated encryption algorithms to encrypt data as its stored in the database. This is a nice feature because even if a person was to get into the database (which is also password protected), the person will not be able to read the encrypted data. As information is retrieved by our software, it is automatically decrypted using our own encryption ciphers.
Another nice feature is that the database has the capability of backing itself up on a nightly and weekly basis. You and your IT personnel have the comfort of knowing that your data is safely backed up on a predefined schedule.
03. Real-Time Reporting

One of the most important features of our software is that it allows you to run real-time reports on your data. This means that the moment a student's visit is saved into the system, a report can be generated to show you the new data.
Our reports can show you how many students have been seen, how many services have been distributed, detailed reports by counselor or student, and also how busy your department is by hour or by day of the week (peek times).

04. Track Your Student Visits

Who's Next? automatically records 1) the name of the counselor that spoke with each student, 2) the date and time a student was seen, 3) any advisement services that were given to the student, and 4) any visit notes pertaining to the student's visit.
All of this information is saved easily, accurately, and with as few keystrokes as possible.
05. Record Advisement Services Given

Our software gives you the ability to pre-program all of your advising services into a single list. This way when you want to save the services you gave a student, you simply check each service off the list.
Our latest version now allows you to sort your list of services in a alphabetical list (A-Z) or in a grouped list (screenshot).
06. Store Your Student Notes Electronically

Who's Next? allows counselors and advisors to enter visit notes for each student they see. This functionality is very useful for sharing your student notes with other counselors (screenshot).

07. Email Visit Information to Students

A new feature in Who's Next? gives counselors and advisors the ability email students a transcript pertaining to their visit. With a few mouse clicks, the software will send the student an email containing the counselor's visit notes, the services that were rendered, and any follow up information the student may need.
08. Appointment Calendar

Who's Next? has a built-in appointment calendar that allows counselors and advisors to schedule their own appointments. This visually exciting component mimics a lot of features found in Microsoft Outlook®.
Our calendar component allows you to view your appointments and others at the same time (screenshot).
Our software makes it easy for you to add an appointment. Simply add a subject, select the start time and end time, and select an appointment type; Who's Next? will do the rest (screenshot).
With our software, the current date/time is indicated by a highlighted date header and the current time mark on the time ruler (screenshot).
The Month View allows you to see all of your appointments for any month.

09. Instant Messenger

Our software has a built-in instant messaging component that allows you to chat with other counselors and advisors in your department. Instead of picking up the telephone or leaving your office to ask someone a question, you can use our instant messaging component to chat with others in your area instantly and efficiently (screenshot).
10. Individual Department Access

We have built Who's Next? so that different departments can use the software at the same time. Most of our customers use the software in Academic Advising Centers, Counseling Centers, Financial Aid, and Disability Support Centers.
Although all the data is stored in a single database, the software only allows you to access data for departments you have access to. This means you can be safe knowing your data can not be seen or reported on by unauthorized users.
